Steve Michel:
Steve has been fly-fishing for over 25 years. Starting off in a bass pond he quickly became
hooked. He has stalked the wild trout of this area for the last 20 years. As a fly-fisherman his
skills are extraordinary. He loves to teach the sport to anyone with an interest and prides himself
in watching them develop there skills. Come in the shop some day and ask to hear a story, you
will be amazed by the amount of knowledge he possesses.
Brody Green:
Brody is a graduate of Appalachain State University. He grew up in Western NC and is a born
and bred fly-fisherman. Brody has been fishing for many years and has become an expert trout
and Smallmouth Bass angler. He loves taking people off the beaten path in search of Wild Trout
where not only the fishing is good, but the scenery is also.
Matthew Michel:
Matt is a Junior at NC State University studying Biological Engineering. From an early age he
began learning the tricks of the trade from his father. He has been fly-fishing for the last 10
years. Matt loves fishing for the Wild trout of the area and enjoys teaching others. In 2010 he
won a gold medal in the youth division of the Olympiad Fly Masters Tournament. In 2011 he
placed 21st at the Youth Fly Fishing National Championship and is currently a member of the
North Carolina Fly Fishing Team.
Will Weis:
Will was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He first began fishing at the age of 2 and
first cast a fly when he was 5. Will developed his skills on the freestone and limestone streams
of southwest and central Pennsylvania. Will competed at the US Youth Fly Fishing National
Championship in 2011, placing 27th. He enjoys fishing dry flies in the small streams of western
NC.
